When we visited this house it was obvious that the multiple dark patches were as a result of damp in the carpet. We think it was probably due to a previous carpet clean not being dried out enough, which is a particular issue on thick wool carpets like this one. It took quite a bit of work to shift the marks, but as you can see from the photos, we managed to get the worst of it out. It would certainly benefit from another clean in a few months time, which should return it to its previous excellent condition.

If cleaned on a regular basis, good quality wool carpets can last for many years, however badly looked after wool carpets are the most difficult to clean so it's always good when you manage to get such a great result. The client was more that pleased with the result.
